UNC-Chapel Hill
Becomes Non-Profit Member

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a long-time leader in graphics technology development, has become the first organization to take advantage of the GPC Group’s discounted annual membership for non-profit organizations.

The Department of Computer Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is renowned for its work with Pixel-Planes 5, once considered the “World’s Fastest Graphics Computer,” and its new generation of hardware based on the PixelFlow graphics architecture. PixelFlow technology uses a massively-parallel-processor-per-pixel approach to achieve high-level 3D graphics performance.

With its non-profit membership in the GPC Group, UNC at Chapel Hill will receive all the benefits of regular membership, except for voting rights and the free allowance for publishing results in The GPC News.
