SPEC OMP2012 is designed for measuring performance using applications based on the OpenMP 3.1 standard for shared-memory parallel processing. The benchmark also includes an optional metric for measuring energy consumption. The benchmark suite includes 14 scientific and engineering application codes, covering everything from computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to molecular modeling to image manipulation. The optional energy consumption measurements are based on the SPEC Power and Performance Benchmark Methodology, which provides details on how to integrate a power metric into standardized benchmarks. OMP2012 is the successor to the OMP2001 benchmark, and licensees of OMP2001 are eligible for discounted upgrade pricing for OMP2012. With the release of OMP2012, the OMP2001 benchmark will begin the
retirement process. Results for OMP2001 will be accepted until January 16, 2013.
After that date, only OMP2012 result submissions will be accepted. Results
