The run rules require that for reportable results you must install the SPEC JVM Client98 software on a web server accessible to your client system. This may be the same system as the client, or it may be a different system.

For test purposes where results are not reported, you may run the benchmarks without a web server. If you run the benchmarks without a web server and check the "SPEC compliant" radio button, then when you continue to the main window, you will be warned that a benchmark execution without a web server does not comply with the run rules. This warning is to save you from wasting time running results that you have to throw away. However, if you wish you can ignore the warning and continue to run the benchmarks from this point for your own internal use.
