Question about SERT use for EU 2019/424
« on: September 30, 2019, 09:54:40 PM »
Dear Sir,

Lately I was requested for EU regulation 2019/424

https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=CELEX:32019R0424

As you can see in the link above, there's an active mode which requires several variables which are workletCompress, workletLU and such.

It seems currently the only available method is by using SERT, I just want to ensure if SERT 2.0.2 is the right tool for this?

Thank you and have a nice day.

Dear Tony,

Yes, the SERT 2 suite is the right tool for the required efficiency measurements for the EU regulation 2019/424.

Regards,
Klaus

Hi,

Understood that SERT 2.x has enhancements compared to older SERT v1.x. However, from the theoretical point of view, would the older SERT v.1.x be enough for these energy-efficiency (ErP directive) measurements? I.e. have those stressing profiles (worklets) been modified between different SERT versions?

Regards,
Mark

Hi Mark,

You can read more on the metrics difference between SERT1 and SERT2 here: https://www.spec.org/sert2/SERT-metric.pdf Ultimately it is up to the regulatory body on which data they accept.
