SPEC CPU95 Issues

This is a place where SPEC shall be collecting descriptions (and solutions) to problems encountered by people actually using the benchmark.

Current Issues

CPU95 Timing Patch for use when testing under Microsoft operating systems
Corrects a bug in the SPEC tools that improperly interprets some of the sub-second timing resolution provided by the Microsoft operating systems.
Building SPECperl
Sometimes SPECperl fails during installation/build because of a conflict over the $CONFIG environment variable.
SPEC tools for Linux Redhat 4.1 for Intel architecture
SPEC has an additional tar file containing binaries for the SPEC tools (specmake, specperl) for Linux Redhat 4.1 on Intel Architecture.
SPEC tools for Linux Redhat 5.0 for Intel architecture
SPEC has an additional tar file containing binaries for the SPEC tools (specmake, specperl) for Linux Redhat 5.0 on Intel Architecture.
126.gcc alloca(3)
Sometimes 126.gcc cannot be built because alloca(3) cannot be found.
124.m88ksim Byte Ordering
One must specify the correct byte-ordering ("big-endian" versus "little-endian") when building 128.m88ksim, otherwise the application will not be able to properly read its input files.
