The 4-star hotel is part of the "Best Western" chain, it is located at the western side of the inner city. Available: Swimming pool, sauna, parking garage (10 DM / night). Closest to SPEC workshop and meeting but also most expensive. Distance to the workshop location (Siemens AG) is about 2.5 km. Siemens can be reached walking (30 min), by city bus (line 4, every half hour, direct connection), or by taxi.

The hotel is a modern family-business hotel, it is located in the northern part of the inner city. Available: Sauna. Parking on Maspernplatz nearby, Metered parking (fee) 8:00 - 17:00, evening/night free. Distance to the workshop location (Siemens AG) is about 3 km. Siemens can be reached walking (40 min), by city bus (line 4, every half hour, 10 min walk to bus stop), or by taxi.

For those staying at one of the two Paderborn hotels, everything within the inner city of Paderborn (cathedral, medieval museum, many restaurants, pedestrian zone with shopping district, springs of the river Pader) is in walking distance.

The 4-star hotel is located in the spa city of Bad Lippspringe, about 8 km northeast of Paderborn, adjacent to a large public fun and recreation indoor/outdoor swimming pool (water slides, several saunas, etc., free or reduced for hotel guests). The price is lower than for the Paderborn hotels; due to the distance to the workshop and SPEC business meeting location (Siemens AG), it is mainly recommended for those with a rental car. Siemens can be reached by rental car, by bus (every 20 min, transfer at Paderborn railway station required) or by taxi. For trips to the Paderborn inner city (e.g. dinner, museum visits), parking is available at the "Maspernplatz" at the northern side of Paderborn's inner city (Metered parking 8:00 - 17:00, free in the evenings).

In early September, we'll take a count how many participants without rental car stay there; if necessary, SPEC will provide bus transportation to the meeting in the morning.
